A SCHOOL welcomed a special visitor for an end of term celebration.
Jamie Anderson, the son of legendary Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlett creator Gerry Anderson, met staff and pupils at Westborough School, in MacDonald Avenue, Westcliff, yesterday.
Gabrielle Offord, from the school, said: “Jamie Anderson came to present a lifetime achievement award to one of our teachers, Peter Littman, who is retiring at the end of term.
“Mr Littman is a devoted fan of Thunderbirds, so it was an amazing surprise for him and the perfect send-off.”
“Jamie Anderson just discovered that his grandparents actually emigrated to Westcliff from Europe and got married here, so there is a nice connection.”
Jamie is now a director known for his work on Doctor Who.
