VERTERANS and war heroes joined members of the public to celebrate Armed Forced day at a city shopping centre.
The event at the Higher Chelmer Shopping Centre, Chelmsford saw the veterans set up a display complete with a military style Jeep vehicle in the centre.
The nation wide event saw authorities and organisations across the country pay their respects to the armed forces.
Chelmsford’s Armed Forces Day parade is on Saturday July 1. Attendees will assemble outside the Civic Theatre from 9.30am.
The parade will leave the the - atre at 10am, head down Duke Street, take a sharp right down Market Road, past the Retail Market, enter the park via the zebra crossing, go underneath the crossing, and then head towards the lake.
The ceremony will take place next to the lake at 10.30am.
