A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Runnymede Chase, Thundersley, at 9.30pm yesterday after reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian.
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer, ambulance crew and East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched.
They treated a 22-year-old who had suffered a suspected broken leg and shoulder injury.
He was taken by land ambulance to Southend University Hospital for further care.
The green Ford Focus that hit him was later found in Basildon.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened or saw the car before or after the incident.
They are also keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage.
