Appeal to track down missing war medals which police believe were stolen
Police are asking for the public's help to find war medals they believe were stolen four years ago.
A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for information to find the original owner of war medals believed to be stolen and sold in Essex.
"The medals were issued to Private F G Parker of the Bedford Regiment and include the Military Medal, British War Medal and Victory Medal.
"We believe the medals were given to either a family member or friend before then being stolen in 2013.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Dc Russ Chamberlain at the Serious and Organised Crime Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
