Fire crews have been called to battle a giant fire that has broken out in a field this afternoon (June 17).
Teams for Grays and Orsett tackled for more than hour the blaze which is believed to have measured approximately 200 metres, in a field in Arun, East Tilbury.
The firefighters used backpack sprayers and beaters and the blaze was extinguished by 5.15pm.
The cause of the fire has been recorded at deliberate.
