A BILLERICAY teenager breached a community order when he smashed a glass pane in a back door, a court has heard.
Harrison Ackland, 19, appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court last week charged with criminal damage, two counts of assault and breaching the order.
Initially he denied the assaults and the criminal damage but changed his plea to guilty.
The court heard that he damaged the outer pane of glass in the back door of a Basildon home belonging to Jade Hammersley , causing about £150 worth of damage, on April 3.
He also assaulted Jessica and Jade Hammersley on February 25.
The court heard that he was previously handed a community order for damaging a front door on February 27.
For the offences, magistrates ordered him to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months and to take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement for 40 days.
Ackland was also made the subject of a restraining order, to not contact Jade and Jessica Hammersley directly or indirectly. He was also ordered to pay £150 compensation and an £85 victim surcharge.
