A shotgun is believed to have been fired at a car in Grays.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in Aluric Close, shortly before 5.45pm on Tuesday, April 18.

Three men were in a white Ford Transit van and pulled up alongside a black BMW. One suspect has stepped out of the van and has fired what is believed to be a shotgun at a car. Two shots have hit the windscreen and bonnet.

There was no one in the car at the time and no one was injured.

The first suspect is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of skinny build, in his early to late 20s. He was wearing a dark hooded top with dark tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second suspect is described as black, over 6ft tall, of stocky build and in his early to late 30s. He was wearing a light grey hooded top and a dark coloured baseball bat.

The third suspect is described as black, 5ft 9in tall, of skinny build with black shaved hair. He was wearing a hooded top, dark coloured jogging bottoms, trainers and a bobble hat.
