A 16-YEAR-OLD from Basildon has received a charity award and national recognition for her work for a national children’s charity.
Beth Wilson was nominated for her commitment to the work of the Children’s Society, a charity working to support vulnerable teenagers who experience abuse, neglect and poverty in the UK.
Beth was shocked to receive the award at the Children’s Society Star Awards.
She said: “I’ve not won anything like this before – it’s a whole new experience to me.
“For me it’s been about making a difference for others and helping police officers see how they should treat young people.
“I’m really passionate about it and it’s helped me a great deal.”
