A MAN was punched in the face by robbers who searched through his pockets before stealing cash and keys.
The attack happened at around 5.30pm on Friday, November 25 at the The Meades near to the Virgin Active gym and Central Park, Chelmsford.
The victim, aged in his 20s and from Chelmsford, was approached by a skinny black man who was wearing a black Puffa style jacket and was riding a push bike.
The victim tried to walk past him but was punched to the face. A white man, also wearing a Puffa style jacket then approached the victim and searched his pockets, stealing keys and a two figure sum of cash before leaving the scene.
Anybody who witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information about who was responsible is asked to contact Pc Simon Gray at Chelmsford CID on Essex Police 101.
