A MAN has been charged with a string of offences, including ten burglaries carried out across Essex, east London and Hertfordshire.

Jack O’Brien, 22, unemployed, of Navarre Gardens, Romford, was arrested on Saturday.

He has been charged with: Attempted robbery of a man in Dagenham on November 2.

Aggravated burglary at an address in Hyde Close, Chafford Hundred, on April 23.

Ten counts of burglary at addresses in Green Street, Ingatestone on October 26; Twinstead Road, Lamarsh on September 5; Dunton Road, Basildon on September 24; Church Lane in White Roding between October 21 and 22; Hunsdonbury Lane in Ware on October 26; Widford Road in Much Hadham on November 8; two in Hay Street, Ware, on November 8; one at Hatfield Broad Oak on November 8 and one in Little Hallingbury on November 8.

There are also three counts of attempted burglary at addresses in South Weald Road, Brentwood, on April 23; Main Road, Rettendon, on September 5; and College Avenue in Grays on September 26.

O’Brien is further charged with handling stolen goods in Dagenham between July 31 and November 12; driving without due care and attention, driving other than in accordance with a licence, and failing to stop for police and driving without insurance. These charges all relate to an incident on Tysea Hill, Stapleford Abbotts, on September 7.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court this morning.
