A STUDENT from Chelmsford, whose Twitter chat landed her a key role in a musical superstar’s latest video, has described her incredible experience.

When Celine Jennings, 20, from Great Baddow, started sharing Babyshambles lyrics with her sister, little did she know she was on the cusp of producing the artwork for Peter Doherty’s I Don’t Love Anyone (But You’re Not Just Anyone).

The second year student, who studies a degree in Illustrations at Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, explained: “It came about after Peter ‘followed’ my sister and me on Twitter after we had been tweeting Babyshambles lyrics at each other.

“A few weeks later I went to see The Libertines at a charity gig in Brixton and I messaged him after the gig, and we started talking about the new songs he was working on.

“I mentioned I studied illustration at Anglia Ruskin University and he asked me to do some illustrations for the new single.

“I have some of my drawings on my Twitter page, so perhaps he had seen those, but it felt really spontaneous.”

After drawing up various illustration ideas, Peter asked Celine if she would develop it for an animated video.

She continued: “The process was fast but really fun.

“It all happened over a few weeks so it was a bit of a rush, but it was exciting talking to Luca Monterosso Wittmann, the animator and director, who is based in Italy.

“I think Luca made the final video look absolutely amazing and it really does justice to the song in a simple, organic way.

“I’m really proud to have played a part in it.”

The single will form part of the Hamburg Demonstrations album, set for release on Friday December 2.

It is Peter Doherty’s second solo album.
