NOMATIONS have been made for the Thurrock Education Awards 2016.
There have been more than 400 nominations for the awards, making this year’s awards the biggest one yet.
A wide variety of entries have been received from young people, parents and colleagues, representing all types of education providers from the length and breadth of borough.
The list of shortlisted nominees have been published on the Thurrock Council website and the winners will be announced an awards evening at the Backstage Centre, High House Production Park, Purfleet on Friday November 18.
James Halden, councillor responsible for education and health said: “The number of nominations we have received is testament to the excellence and hard-work seen in our schools, academies and early year’s settings in Thurrock.
“I want to congratulate all those who have been shortlisted and thank those people who, like me, want to celebrate people who go the extra mile for our students.”
All shortlisted nominations for the Thurrock Education Awards can be found at thurrock.gov.uk/education-awards.
