PROUD students were told to enjoy every step of their journey as their hard work was recognised at this year’s South Essex College’s graduation.
That was the message from cricket legend Nasser Hussain as hundreds of students filled the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend to receive their scrolls.
The former Essex and England cricket captain, who was the special guest for the evening, and lives in Essex, inspired the crowds with his words.
He said: “If I could give you one bit of advice it would be to make sure you enjoy what you have achieved, enjoy every single step of your journey."
As well as 31 first class honours degrees being awarded, the night was an opportunity to recognise outstanding students, including the Art and Design and Media students who exhibited their final major projects at prestigious London shows.
