A MAN will appear in court charged with carrying out a knifepoint robbery and threatening to kill a woman.
Scott McKay, 20, of Willsner, Pitsea, is alleged to have robbed a man of a £400 Samsung phone in Leigh on December 18.
On the same day, he is charged with driving without a licence or insurance, dangerous driving, possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.
McKay is also charged with making threats towards a woman and beating her in Canvey on July 4 and damaging a bedroom door worth £500.
The offences are so serious they must be heard at a crown court, but during an initial hearing at Southend Magistrates’ Court he was fined £100 for failing to attend Rayleigh police station on bail on May 25.
McKay has been remanded in custody to appear at Basildon Crown Court on August 3.
