TRAINS between Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria have been cancelled this morning.
Signalling problems between Wickford and Billericay have blocked both lines.
So far it has meant that 16 trains have been cancelled in both directions.
Services are running from Shenfield.
Long queues have formed outside Wickford station while passengers wait for replacement buses to arrive.
Commuter Daryl Peagram said: "Chaos. No staff telling us anything. No sign of bus. Pouring with rain. Second time in a week the line has collapsed."
Just love standing in the rain at wickford with over a hundred other commuters waiting for a replacement bus. Thank you @greateranglia

Ugh @greateranglia. Are any more replacement buses coming to Wickford? Been waiting in the rain for an hour and it's actually not that fun.

A spokesman for the train operator says it has a limited number of replacement buses operating between Wickford and Shenfield.
He said: "We have a very limited number of buses in operation between Shenfield and Wickford, operated by Ensign and T & M coaches and Peter Godwood.
"As a result customers wishing to travel from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria are strongly advised to use alternative routes between Southend Central and Fenchurch Street.
Customers are advised Abellio Greater Anglia tickets are being accepted on C2C rail services to London Fenchurch Street.
