Vocal group the Base Tones will be bringing the legends of 50s and 60s soul to life at the Thameside Stage this month.

The fresh, new three-man vocal harmony group are rapidly gaining a reputation for their sublime harmonies with a modern twist - not to mention their "great suits."

Fans of the Motown era can expect favourite tracks from greats such as Franki Valli from the Four Seasons, the Overtones, the Baseballs and the Temptations all wrapped in tight harmonies with a modern twist.

The tuneful threesome, Tom, Rikki and Steve, will be joined on stage by the “amazing” PalmerStone dancers as they wrap up feel-good tunes of yesteryear in the slick choreographic style of the Motown days.

With a playlist that stretches from Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Sh Boom, Beggin’, to Saturday Night at the Movies and Pretty Woman, organisers said: “Join us for a night that will bring back memories and create new ones.”

The show is in Grays for one night only on Friday June 3 at 7.30pm. To book tickets at £12, £9 for Senior Citizens and four or more at £10 each for under 16's, call 0845 300 5264 or visit www.thurrock.gov.uk/theatre
