Firefighters tackled a fire at the Tescos warehouse in Purfleet this morning.
The fire was caused by an industrial cleaning machine "catching fire" at about 7am this morning.
Two crews from Grays attended the distribution centre on Dolphin Way and extinguished the fire within 45 minutes.
No-one was reported injured.
The fire is not believed to have been started deliberately.
A spokesman for Tescos said: "A fire broke out at our Thurrock depot this morning.
"The fire service dealt with the incident quickly and no one was hurt or injured.
"Depot operations are fully up and running again."
