THREE people were cut free by firefighters following a three vehicle crash in Basildon, last night.
The incident, which saw all three casualties left in the care of ambulance staff, happened on Staneway at about 9.50pm.
One patient was treated for head and chest injuries while two others were treated for minor injuries.
An East of England Ambulance spokesman, said: "we received a call at 9.42pm.
"We sent three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle.
"Three patients were treated.
One was treated for head and chest injuries and two others were walking wounded.
"All patients were taken to Basildon Hospital."
Two fire crews from Orsett and one from Basildon used two sets of cutting equipment to release them by 10.40pm.
