33-year old survivor of breast cancer campaigns to help others
GRAYS mother Nikki Page has teamed up with her “breast friends” to raise money for cancer research after having a mastectomy.
The team have already raised £755 and are hoping to reach £2,500.
Nikki, 33, who is passionate about raising awareness for young women to check for early signs of breast cancer, said: “I was really lucky. If it wasn’t for cancer research, I wouldn’t be here and I wouldn’t be seeing my three-year-old daughter grow up.”
The mum and her pals are putting on a race night and raffle at St Thomas’s Church, on Saturday, May 2, as well as running in the 5K Race forLife in Basildon in June.
