Police are appealing for a witness who is believed to have recorded an assault in Basildon on his mobile phone.
A woman in her 30s was left with cuts and bruises after she was assaulted in Wells Gardens.
The attack took place at about 9.15am on Saturday, April 4.
A 29-year-old man from Basildon was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently on police bail, pending further enquiries, until May 18.
Police are looking to trace a witness who is described as being of Asian appearance.
He had two young children with him and is believed to have recorded the assault on his mobile phone.
This man and any other witnesses are asked to call PC Simon Kirk at Basildon police station on 101.
