TODAY a Reader, tomorrow a Leader was the message the Thurrock Gateway Rotary Club took to Tilbury Pioneer Academy primary school.
Rotary club president, Claire Pavitt, and vice-president, Frank Claydon, presented pupils with Rotary Illustrated Dictionaries for Life.
The dictionaries were bought with funds raised at Thurrock store collections.
A spokesman for the club said: “Presenting the dictionaries was one of Claire’s aims within her presidential year and she is honoured to have been able to do so.”
The Rotary club meets at the White Hart Inn, Grays RM17 6HR on the first three Mondays each month at 7pm and all are welcome.
