BANDS are throwing a rock’n’roll lifeline to three-year-old Grays boy Adam Undro at the town’s Thameside Theatre.
Circa Fall, from Chelmsford, and Jackknife, from London, will headline a gig to raise money for Adam’s cancer treatment.
Jackknife will be playing their signature Seventies and Eighties rock, metal, pop and hints of progressive rock with a taste of Led Zeppelin.
The concert on Friday, January 30, will also feature comedy from West End actor Michael Topolski, from the Charm Offensive theatre company.
Adam suffers with a rare brain tumour and the Grays community is banding together to try to raise the £60,000 he needs for an operation.
The Undro family are trying to raise the money to send Adam to the Czech Republic to receive proton- therapy.
NHS doctors have already operated on Adam and removed 65 per cent of the tumour.
Event organiser, Eric Sterenczak, volunteered to help. He said: “The parents contacted me through the grapevine and they really needed some support from someone."
Tickets for the night are £12.50 each, with a £40 concession for four. You can book on 0845 3005264.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
