FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a woman free from her vehicle after an accident in Southend yesterday evening.
The incident occurred shortly after 7pm on Whittingham Avenue and fire crews from Southend station attended.
They used specialist cutting equipment to free the casualty, a woman in her forties who was trapped by her injuries, by around 7.40pm.
The casualty was complaining of neck and back pain and left in the care of the ambulance service, who treated her at the scene before taking her to Southend Hospital.
