THE FINAL of the BP Big Screens is set to take place in Purfleet in just two weeks.

The final of the annual opera event takes place on Wednesday, September 17, with a live screening of Verdi’s Rigoletto from the iconic Covent Garden stage.

The free screening will kick-off at 7pm at High House Production Park in Walled Garden with a pre-performance build-up presented by Dominic Peckham and Natasha Kaplinsky.

Gates open at 5.15pm with the first pre-performance scheduled for 6.30pm.

The BP Big Screens includes three productions screened over the course of the summer – Rigoletto, which followed La bohème and La traviata, will be the final show this year.

The screenings also feature exclusive backstage films and live interaction.

Rigoletto will be a final chance to enter into the BP Big Screen competition to a performance of The Royal Ballet’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with a stay at The May Fair Hotel and a meal in the Paul Hamlyn Balconies Restaurant – once a part of the Covent Garden flower market.

In addition there will be a chance to win a food hamper from the Royal Opera House to the cinema-goer with the best ‘opera selfie’ using the hashtag #BPBigScreen, via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
