Need something to do with the family? Fancy watching some music and sipping beer in the sunshine? We've gathered together a host of events going on this weekend in south Essex. 

1. WW1 Centenary event

Lee Chapel North Community Centre in Ballards Walk, Laindon, is hosting an event to mark the centenary of the First World War this Sunday from 1pm until 5pm. 

2. TOWIE stars at Nando's

Mario Falcone and Bobby Norris will be amongst the famous faces serving food and waiting tables at Nandos, at Basildon's Festival Leisure Park this Sunday. 

James Lock is the latest Towie name to sign up to the charity event, which may also feature Chris Drake, Ricky Rayment, Harry Derbidge and Charlie King.

Staff have organised the star-studded fundraising event to support the 20th birthday of SNAP, an Essex-based charity supporting children and families with special needs.

Customers will also be entertained by X Factor star Lydia Lucy, who made it through to the judges houses stage in last years show.

Tables cannot be booked in advance, so fans will have to arrive early.

3. Rochford Farmer's Market 

Buy fresh produce at Rochford Farmer's Market this Saturday. It will be held at the WI Hall from 9.30am until midday. 

4. Antique and Vintage street market 

Rayleigh High Street will play host to a vintage street market on Saturday between 9am and 5pm. Stalls will also be in Websters Way. 

5. Free family trail

RSPB Rainham marshes, Thurrock, is inviting families to come along for a free event this Saturday. 

Pick up an adventure trail sheet and find the clues around the reserve. Can you find all the clues to solve the mystery?

Familes can pop in any time between 9.30am until 5pm. You will get a trail sheet at the visitor centre, you will have to find the clues, note them down on your sheet, from your clues you should be able to work out the answer!

The paths and boardwalks mean that you can explore even with a pram or pushchair. 

6. Leigh Society annual open day 

The annual Open Day for the Leigh Society, featuring stands from The Western Front Association, Shoebury Society, Bay Museum, Canvey Museum, Friends of Southend Museums, Leigh Horticultural Society, Pall Mall Congregational Church and, Hadleigh and Thunderley Archives takes place on Saturday.

There will be talks, refreshments, books and gifts together with the opportunity to learn more about what the Great War meant to the residents of Leigh-on-Sea from 10am until 4pm at Leigh community centre in Elm Road.

7. Mothers on their Own

Partners not living with you, or away for whatever reason. Meet other mums in similar situations to yourself, somewhere safe for you and your child and have a coffee while meeting new people whilst gaining information that will help you. Breakfast is there for you and your child.

Mums are welcome from 9am on Sunday at the Blenheim Children Centre in Leigh.

8. Cycle ride

A cycling group is meeting for a leisurely ride from Wickford's Market Cafe in Woodlands Road (SS12 0AW) to Maldon (Crystal Café)and then Kelvedon (Railway Tavern) for lunch.

Meet at the Market Cafe at 9.15am on Sunday for the free event.

9. Meet the Tudors! 

Step back into time at Southchurch Hall, Southend, from 11am on Sunday to meet the Lord, the Lady, the cook, the beekeeper, the traveller and even the king! Learn about Tudor life - just don't upset the King! Refreshments available.

10. Jazz on the terrace 

Summer jazz on the terrace held this Sunday from 1pm at Stockbrook Manor, Billericay.
