A gold medal winning Olympic showjumper honed his talents at a Braintree equestrian venue.
Ben Maher, 29, was part of the four-man team that won showjumping gold for Great Britain at Greenwich Park on Monday.
He was a regular competitor at the Towerlands Equestrian Centre, in Panfield Lane, Braintree, which he also used as a training venue.
Monday’s triumph was Britain’s first showjumping gold medal in 60 years.
