Sports clubs are counting down the days to the London 2012 Olympics.
Braintree Bullets BMX Club in Deanery Hill staged a practice session on March 15 to mark 500 days to the Games.
It was the club’s first after-school practice session of the year.
Money was also raised for Japan following the earthquake and tsunami.
Coach Julian Allen, who is also manager of the track maintenance team, said: “The kids had a real good time.
“We had about 30-40 of them come along.
“It set us up for the season.”
