Southminster: Chef catches monster catfish
A keen fisherman, often teased by colleagues for never catching anything, is believed to have broken a UK record after landing this monster catfish.
Chef James Jones, who works at Ye Olde White Harte Hotel in Burnham, had spent three days at one of the recently opened lakes at Oak Lakes Fisheries in Burnham Road, Southminster.
He had not had a single bite and was packing up when out of the blue his rod alarm sounded.
