FOUR people have been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a man in Leavenheath.
Police were called to Maypole Way at 1.30am on Wednesday after reports of a weapon being waved around in the street.
The police helicopter was scrambled and four people were arrested.
An air rifle was recovered.
Police have bailed a 37-year-old man from West Mersea, 35-year-old and 22-year-old man from the Colchester area and a 20-year-old woman from Colchester.
They were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
