Unemployed youngsters complete back to work scheme

First published in North Essex by

A group of youngsters hope to be more employable after completing a back to work scheme.

The 12-week Princes Trust TEAM programme provided 16-24-year-olds across Tendring with work placements for two weeks, career guidance support, mock interviews and help with CVs.

Some also took part in building and fundraising work for the Mayflower Project in Harwich.

Stephen Mayzes, Tendring Council’s cabinet member for tourism and community, presented certificates at a ceremony marking the achievements of those who took part.

well done to those youngsters. It takes a shift in attitude to get to the end of this course and gives them far more self esteem and ambition. Let's hope they are given employment.
