Jobless figures have dropped.
The latest figures, which are for March, show a drop in the number of unemployed people in the Braintree district to 2,967.
During January and February the figures soared to 3,135 and 3,073, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Of Braintree’s jobseekers, 27.4 per cent are aged 18-24, 53 per cent are aged 25-49 and 19.2 per cent are aged 50 and over.
In comparison, Brentwood has 1,091 unemployed while Chelmsford’s total is 2,985.
Maldon has 2,108 jobseekers while Uttlesford only has 935.
