New footage has just been released by the Army of the Para's recent mission to transport a new turbine to the Kajaki Dam in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
There are four separate movie clips: contents are as follows.
Part one: Interview with Brigadier Mark Carleton-Smith, Commander of 16 Air Assault Brigade and Colchester Garrison; footage of the dam; footage of an ANA clearance patrol.
Part two: Firing mortar and artillery rounds towards Taliban enemy positions; footage of the turbine arriving at Kandahar airfield; interview with Captain Martin Morrissey, second-in-charge of A-Squadron Viking Group, the Queen's Royal Lancers, footage of the convoy en route to the dam.
Part three: More footage of the convoy en route to the dam, and firing on enemy positions; the convoy approaching its destination, FOB Zeebrugge; the turbie being unloaded and installed.
Part four: The convoy returning to base after completing its mission.
