A pub at the edge of Braintree town centre has been sold.
The Wagon and Horses, in South Street, was placed on the market by owners Greene King in June.
Now the brewery has confirmed the pub has been sold and will remain open as usual until further notice.
A spokesperson for Greene King said: “We can confirm that the Waggon and Horses has been sold subject to contract and has been taken off the market.
"The pub continues to be open to trade and will remain so until contracts have been exchanged.”
No indication has been given as to whether or not the property will remain in use as a pub.
The Wagon and Horses was on the market for £335,000.
