A man from Colchester has been charged with five counts of stalking and sexual assault.
Samuel Apenteng, 32, of Bardsley Close, is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday, June 16).
Police arrested a man at around 2.40am on Thursday, following reports that a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted while waiting for a bus in North Station Road on May 30.
The man was then arrested after five women, aged between 15 and 28, reported they had been stalked between February 28 and Thursday, June 14.

Apenteng has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday, July 13.
