A BUSINESSMAN has built up his own consultancy firm.

Neil Kirby, 44, of Wickham Bishops, has launched NJK Business Solution, with the aim of marketing people’s companies and brand and help take some stress of the shoulders of small business owners.

Mr Kirby has founded the business, set up a website and will carry out his services completely independently, with his role involving talking to suppliers, telephone providers, energy providers and insurance companies to get the best deal possible for Maldon and Essex business owners.

Neil has more than 25 years of negotiating to save companies money, most recently with Maldon Furniture, based in Heybridge.

Neil said: “It’s something that I’ve been mulling over for a while.

“There are small business owners who run a shop or café who will probably spend about three quarters of their day on the phone, when every minute is incredibly important to them to ensure their business is successful.

“I can be quite persuasive on the phone, so I thought if I can take on all their phone calls, suppliers, managing teams and meeting potential clients they can get on with what they want to do and build their business.

“It’s taking the stress off of people’s shoulders.

“I’m used to dealing with corporate people and the fancy language they’ll speak.”

Neil charges £49.99 for a transparent consultation fee, with an additional ten per cent charge of what clients save through his negotiations.

He also has ideas to set up regular meets with small businesses to discuss their ideas and how his services can be used.

He added: “It’s still a fledgling operation which I’ve only just started, but I’ve had some interest already, it’ll be good to see where it goes and how many ask for my help.

“I’d also be interested in setting up a regular meet in Maldon for small businesses to come and exchange their ideas of where they want to go, and what they want to do, and see if it’s something I can help with.”
