PROPOSALS to bring back weekly black bag collections are due to be debated by councillors tonight.
The plans are part of the Colchester Conservative group's budget amendments.
The call comes after council bosses scrapped weekly collections last year in a bid to drive down the amount of waste going to landfill.
It has seen the authority's recycling rate jump from 42 per cent to about 55 per cent.
But critics say there has been an increase in flytipping as well as increased use of the Shrub End tip.
Would you support a move back to weekly collections with a two-bag limit?
