A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to destroy or damage property in Clacton.

Police were called with reports that a man was verbally abusive towards at 37-year-old woman at the women’s clothing shop Impressions, in Rosemary Road.

They were contacted shortly before 3.40pm on Friday, December 15.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man from Clacton was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and threatening to destroy or damage property.”

He was released on bail until January 9.

Officers are looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, with particular interest to anyone who was in the shop at the time.
