ON Saturday, December 2, I attended a Celebration of Past Lives at Maldon Woodland Glade Cemetery.
I have three very dear friends who are buried there and wanted to remember their lives and friendship and support their families.
There was a short introduction conducted by members of Maldon Town Council, followed by a thoughtful service by Rev. Stephen Carter of All Saints Church.
Members of the ground staff were at hand, giving out bags of bulbs and offering help in planting them.
This was followed by tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits.
It was a most thoughtful and moving remembrance of friends and relatives now gone from us and I would like to offer my most grateful thanks to everyone who took part and others who organised it.
The Woodland Glade Cemetery must be the most peaceful place to be laid to rest.
