MOTOR enthusiasts of all ages flocked to Colchester’s Castle Park to enjoy a car show which has raised thousands of pounds for charity.
The Essex Classic Vehicle Show was run by Headway Essex and the Charity Classic Vehicle Club and had more than 200 cars on display.
An arena show presenting the best vehicles was the main event as a number of proud owners showed off their precious cars.
As well as plenty of spectacular vehicles, crowds were also entertained by the CL Cheerleaders and acrobats Team Kinetix.
Live music was provided by singer Steve Brewer, live band Eclipse and the Kingsland Community Choir.
The day concluded with an awards ceremony where trophies for categories including best pre-war car and car of the show were presented.
Tracy Wellsted, Headway Essex event manager, said: “We were so delighted with the turnout for the event this year and are so grateful to all the classic vehicle owners for their support in making this such a wonderful event which provided great entertainment for the public and helped raise vital funds.”
Money raised will go to support adults with acquired brain injury and their families on their journey towards recovered.
The final amount raised is still being calculated but initial projections suggest the show brought in more than £7,000.
