A VIDEO launch with a difference is taking place at Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester this weekend.

Just when you think everything possible in a music video has been done, technology moves forward and there's new tools for people to exploit.

And although it's pretty rare for a local band to be at the forefront of this Colchester's Ghosts Of Men aren't one to shy away from trying something new.

That's how the video for Little Death has come about with the two-piece serving up an immersive visual treat, surrounding fans with sideshows while the band play in the middle. Utilising a 360 degree camera, the band take the forefront, while the surroundings are like a mini festival, complete with bands, photo shoots, boxing, bike tricks, a dinosaur, a tea party and a whole lot of people in masks, alongside many other things.

To release the video the band have teamed up with local promoter, Paper Champion to present a video launch like no other at Three Wise Monkeys this Friday.

Most video launches are usually done in front of a big screen but, given the nature of the Ghosts new offering, there'll be a Virtual Reality booth set up on the top floor so gig-goers can take it all in, have a look around (literally) and see how many different things they can catch.

There's also a pretty mean line-up to mark the occasion with Shooty and The Bang Bang, Pet Needs and Rubber Jaw, before Ghosts of Men take to the stage.

Doors open this Friday, September 22, at 7.30pm on the Top Floor of the High Street bar with entry £3 on admission.
