Quiz night to be held for museum

A QUIZ night will be held in Burnham this weekend.

The Burnham Museum Quiz Night will be held at the Tall Green House on Friday from 7pm, presented by the café and the museum to raise funds to keep it running.

People can enter at £3 per person or £10 for a team of four. Doors open at 7pm and the quiz begins at 7.30pm.

Fossil hunting returns to town

FOSSIL hunting will be held in Burnham on Saturday.

The Burnham and District Museum will take a part of people out to Creeksea Cliff for a two-hour fossil hunt with an introduction to the museum to start.

It is free but donations are happily taken.

It runs from 10am to 1.30pm on Saturday from the museum on Coronation Road.

Summer show and plant sale

A SUMMER show will be held in Maldon on Saturday.

The Maldon United Reformed Church will host a summer show and plant sale on Saturday with lots of plants and crafts on sale with various entertainments.

It begins at 10am at the church on Market Hill.

Rowing day for novices at club

A ROWING novice day will be held in Maldon on Sunday.

The Maldon Gig Rowing Club on Hythe Quay will be holding a novice day on Sunday between 4.45pm and 6.45pm, inviting people to have a try at gig rowing.

The event is open to all adults. The day costs £3.

Cricket session for school kids

A CRICKET session will be held in Heybridge on Monday.

The Aussie Experience Cricket Coaching at Drapers Farm in Heybridge on Monday from 10am to 4pm.

Back for its eighth year, aimed at the intermediate cricketer in School Years 3-9 exclusive.

All people will need to bring is lunch, and to prebook for a day it costs £25 or £100 for the week.
