THE family of Carolyn Hill, who died following an incident on Easter Monday, have paid tribute to the 51-year-old mother and grandmother.

Paramedics were called to Carolyn's home in Main Road, St Lawrence, on Monday April 17. Sadly she died from her injuries.

Carolyn’s daughter said: “There are not enough words to express how much Mum truly means to me.

“She was a very beautiful lady – both inside and outside.

“Her natural kindness and ability to give endless unconditional love taught me how to become the person that I am today, and for that I am forever grateful.

“I am so very proud to be able to call this beautiful, caring lady my mum.

“She was also my best friend and an amazing nanny to my two children who absolutely adored her.

“I will always remember her for all the good times we shared, for all the times I could confide in her and for all the silly jokes we played on each other.

“Days spent with my mum were days filled with laughter. Those are days that will be sorely missed.

“I will never heal from the pain that has been caused, but I shall live the rest of my life knowing I was truly blessed to have her as my mum and best friend.

“My heart will forever more hold her as my most treasured memory.

“She is loved by all with a love beyond all telling, and she is missed with a grief beyond all tears."

Paying tribute to their sister, Carolyn’s two brothers added: “Carolyn was very much loved by all of her family and will be sorely missed.

“We are all totally devastated by her loss and the truly awful circumstances surrounding her death.

“Words cannot express how we feel at this extremely sad and difficult time and we would ask for privacy in the forthcoming weeks and months."

Skye Page, 37, of Dunkirk Road, Burnham, has been charged with murder in connection with Carolyn’s death.

He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court in June for a plea and case management hearing.
