A TEENAGER was left in shock after finding his car flipped on its side causing a great deal of damage.

Joshua Morton-Ferris, 17, of Springfield Road, Burnham, walked out of his house to find his grey Peugeot 107 turned on its side after leaving it parked overnight.

Mr Morton-Ferris had only recently passed his driving test two weeks prior to the incident.

The car suffered damage to its doors, skirting, right wing mirror and wheels.

It was later placed back on all four wheels and could still function normally.

About the discovery, Joshua said: “It was certainly an odd thing to discover after having only used my car for a couple of weeks, it was a creative bit of vandalism.

“I was very shocked that it was targeted, and I hope the police can help, the damages will cost a lot to repair.

“In times like these you have to be grateful for being insured.”

An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was damaged in Burnham-on-Crouch.

“A 17-year-old boy left his house on Springfield Road on Tuesday September 21 to find his car had been turned on its side.”
