TWO men accused of robbing five teens of their mobile phones have been acquitted by a jury.
Stefan Evans and Kieran Gilkes denied robbing four mobile phones and one wallet from five teens near Glendale Road, Burnham, in November 2014.
After a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court this week the jury cleared both men of the charges.
The court had heard Evans, Gilkes and a third man, who has already admitted robbery offences, approached the alleged victims as they stood near the Iron Bridge in Burnham.
Evans and Gilkes had claimed they were trying to prevent the robberies.
