• Tiff Stevenson: Mad Man, Colchester Arts Centre, Church Street, Colchester, Tomorrow, 8pm. £10, £8 concessions. 01206 500900. ONE of the funniest stand-ups on the circuit who in recent years has been making quite a name for herself. Her latest show, which may contain Spanish rap, deals with identity and what makes us the people we are.

• Sculptures From The Victor Batte-Lay Foundation Collection, Minories, High Street, Colchester, until February 27, 10am to 5pm. 01206 712437. A WONDERFUL opportunity to see some of the Victor Batte-Lay Foundation’s precious artworks including an iconic sculpture by Eduardo Paulozzi.

• Tomorrow St Botolph's Musical Society Gala Concert, St Botolph’s Church, St Botolph’s Street, Colchester, 7.30pm. £15. 01206 572783. TWO internationally regarded pianists in one concert, a gala indeed! As part of the 50th Anniversary of St Botolph’s Music Society, under the batons of Colin Nicholson and Jonathan Abbott, not one but two Rachmaninov Piano Concertos feature, performed by Japanese soloist Noriko Ogawa and Philip Smith, another distinguished pianist, who grew up in Colchester.

• The Changing Room, Colchester Arts Centre, Church Street, Colchester, Monday, doors 7.45pm. £11, £10 concessions. 01206 500900. WINNERS of the 2015 International Pan Celtic Song Contest, the Changing Room are the next guests of the Colchester Folk Club. Already firm favourites on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3, their sound features rousing choruses and catchy hooks.

• Silent Disco, The Soundhouse, The Bull, Crouch Street, Colchester, Tomorrow, 9.30pm. £1 after 9pm, £2 after 10pm. 01206 366647. IT’S the Bull’s first Silent Disco of the year and when it comes to DJs they’ve really pulled them out of the bag. Well at least one of them is good, that’s DJ Huffle, the other one is me, so I’ll be doing my level best to match him tune for tune - wish me luck!
