Sunday market ‘would attract more shoppers’
A MUM has called for a Sunday market in Maldon to bring more visitors and shoppers into the town’s High Street.
A trial Monday market on the High Street was scrapped in August after its operators pulled out amid concerns over traffic and damage to shopkeepers’ trade.
Maldon District Council is now considering its options and is asking for feedback.
After visiting the High Street herself on a Sunday, Jane Williams believes it would be the way to attract more income into the town.
