A school has officially opened its new media suite.
Hedingham School and Sixth Form, in Sible Hedingham, invited the head of BBC Film, Christine Langan, to open the new suite last Thursday.
The suite is designed for use by sixth form students studying for A levels in Media and Photography.
Both of these subjects are very popular with students with many choosing to go on to university to further their knowledge of this booming creative industry.
The suite features 25 new iMacs, complete with editing software.
Ms Langan, who won a BAFTA award in 2006, spoke to students about her experiences of the film industry and all the different TV programmes and films she has been involved in.
Sixth Former Imogen Legrove, of Halstead said: “The whole experience was utterly inspiring and students got the chance to ask searching questions and learn about Ms Langan’s background and her path into the world of film.”
