TRIBUTES have been paid to the men who lost their lives fighting in the Far East 70 years ago.
Army personnel, veterans and town dignitaries gathered at Colchester’s War Memorial in High Street where a minute’s silence was held at 11am today, VJ Day.
World War Two ended on September 15 1945, when Japan surrendered.
