A resident has been left frustrated after being asked to cut back vegetation that the council placed a sign in the middle of.
Last week, the Gazette revealed that a speed warning sign was being put up in Sloe Hill, Halstead - but the council had decided the middle of a bush would be the best place for it.
Dawn Harris, 58, who lives opposite the sign, has now been asked to cut back her hedge which is obscuring it.
She said: “It just seems silly.
“Why should I have to cut down my hedge when it could just have been placed ten metres further up the road?
“I do feel a little bit picked on.
“I would need to cut the hedge back a few times through the growing season and I just don’t see why I should have to when they could have just put it somewhere else."
