More than 200 people turned out to show their support for a new skate park in Halstead.
An awareness day was organised by Halstead Youth Council and took place on Saturday.
The youth council has been campaigning for a new skate park for the last four years, but are hampered by funding issues.
There was the chance to have a go at graffiti art with Scott Irving, from Brave Arts, enjoy bouncy play equipment and other games, as well as refreshments being available.
The fun day was paid for by a grant from Halstead Town Council and a grant from Active Essex, Essex County Councilβs community fund.
Linda Hilton, of Halstead Residents Association, said: βIt was a very hot day and everyone enjoyed themselves and the community of Ramsey Road Park came together to support our camping for a new skate park for Halstead.β
